Noticing the Water/Fire Symbolism to Gain Insight this Snake Year

water_fire_symbolismPeople have been sharing with me the water/fire events that are happening in their lives right now – and how it’s leading them to think differently about the challenges this year is already bringing them. Leaks, faucets and water-appliances dripping or breaking. Lightbulbs, computers, other electronic gear breaking, burning out or otherwise causing problems, digestive problems (fire and water mix for this one), sleep problems (too active mind: fire – sluggishness, yin water).

All of these mundane challenges give us a chance to notice, detach and find a higher message in the symbolism. This is a year to be gentle and patient with ourselves and others – basically, not to get excited as that will only worsen things. It’s always the small stuff that tends to accumulate and overwhelm us and this year may pile up more and more smaller and smaller things until we feel like we cannot cope.

While ideally we take care of things in our lives before they accumulate – it will continue to be difficult to do so this year. Give yourself permission to rest and permission to let a few things slide a bit, while taking care of the most important issues (health) slowly, patiently and kindly.

Watchword for this Spring season: Kindess.

If you do not know your Five Elements Composition, it is time to find out so that you can learn how to use natural elements in your environment for healing and well-being. Learn What objects & colors to place around you for balancing your vibration, Which direction to face to reduce stress and charge up your own core energy. Using this knowledge is like building up your immune system through adjusting your visual and energy flow.

Your 5-Elements profile and how to use it is discussed during a Feng Shui consultation with an authentic 5-Elements Feng Shui master, which is still rare in the West.

Welcome to the Year of the Snake

fire water snakeThe real start of the Snake Year lunar cycle began February 4, 2013 at midnight. The official Lunar first of the year falls on February 10th this year and that is when Chinese New Year celebrations begin; they last until February 25th. From now until February 25th we have an opportunity to focus, on a daily basis, on resetting our energy and spirit. These days are very significant on a metaphysical level.

In this Snake year, in which Fire element and Water element clash, it will be smart to play it safe professionally and financially. Avoid tackling ongoing issues or tough negotiations if possible. Postpone attacking issues head-on as the energies this year will tend towards clashes rather than resolutions.

Even positive signs like the current rise in stock market prices might turn sharply negative at any moment, so be a cautious investor. In general, be prepared for eventualities by keeping financial liquidity and even household emergency supplies as the fire/water clash of this year will also exacerbate the weather extremes: fires and flooding associated with earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes and more can be expected.

Be disciplined in setting up auspiciousness during this challenging clash of elements Snake year by choosing thoughts and actions that will further positive mood in yourself and those around you. This is most important between today, February 4th through February 18th. Set the tone for the rest of the year by choosing happiness. To the greatest extent possible avoid thinking of or dealing with people or events that upset you. Tap into the spiritual practice (reading spiritual and inspiring texts) or relaxing physical activities (meditation, Tai Chi, Chi Gong exercise) in this period.

Spirituality and faith can protect us from the negative effects of phenomena we cannot control. Improve the Feng Shui around you by adapting suggestions from my website/blogs to elevate the positive chi that can help us come through challenges safely. Take all these positive actions as maintaining clarity and calmness that will predispose us to better outcomes in all our endeavors.

Year of the Water Dragon 2012 Feng Shui Energy Tips

These energy tips are for all, but especially for the people of my beloved city, New York. As the song goes “if I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere…” New York City attracts the most driven and high-spirited people from around the country and the world trying to achieve their highest aspirations. For this reason, a lot of the people here feel great pressure all the time and are unable to relax or recharge as easily.

The Year of the (Water) Dragon that begins February 4, 2012 is a critical inflection point in the transitional cycle of humanity. So especially at this time, anyone who is serious about bouncing back or achieving their goals should tap into Chinese Five Elements Feng Shui energy techniques to create inner balance that can elevate positive energy and vibration, thereby opening the way to achievement of one’s higher goals.

If you were born in the year of the Hare or Dog, you need to be more careful to avoid accidents –  be extra cautious of any risky physical activities.  Any big moves that affect your financial portfolio should be discussed with wise counsel while applying a conservative attitude.

Things to do starting now and continuing through February 4th 2012:

  • Visit a spiritual place to reflect and set new goals in the Lunar New Year with a grateful heart, regardless of your current circumstances.  A humble and peaceful heart can connect to the Divine while a frightened or angry heart cannot – set yourself on the correct path.
  • Do some charity work and donation, especially during the Lunar New Year period – open the channel for the flow of prosperity.
  • Watch a Lunar New Year Lion Dance performance (preferably in person) to tap into the positive energy of many happy people.
  • Get an authentic Chinese Five Elements Feng Shui consultation that can help guide you to reach your highest potential personally and professionally in the upcoming Dragon year.  Time is of the essence to capitalize on the Dragon chi that could benefit you for years to come.

Energy-clearing rituals to do on February 3, 2012:

  • Do an energy clearing ritual that changes vibration of your space by using sage, incense, drums, bells or fire in a container at low energy meridian of the space according to authentic Chinese Five Elements Feng Shui, using a Feng Shui compass (Luo Pan).
  • Detox your space using energy-clearing prayers of the spiritual tradition you are aligned with.
  • Infuse sunlight and fresh air flow throughout the space.
  • Do a Sea Salt Bath or other spiritual cleansing Bath to wash off old and stressful energy from the ending Lunar cycle so that you’re open to receive the fresh new energy of the New Year.
  • Get a Life Reading by Master Pun Yin or Tin Sun Metaphysics on this day or prior to help you make the best strategy throughout the Year of the Dragon.

Test your luck in the Dragon Year:

If you are curious about your luck in the Year of the Dragon, you can measure it by trying to make eggs stand upright on a flat surface table around 6:22pm on 2/4 which is the official transitional time.  The wider side of the egg should be at the base, the more you can stand the higher your luck is, as long as you have good Feng Shui to complement it.  One can learn more about the significant of this ritual and how to do it properly by looking back in my website and blog about the event I held last year in Midtown Manhattan attended by the press and V.I.P. guests.

Helpful routines to stimulate and balance good energy throughout the Dragon year:

  • Find a location in the North or NorthEast direction near you that has some nature or landscaping that you can walk past every morning to put positive energy into your day.
  • Walk along the Hudson River or some other nature place where you can see the setting sun in the evening to release pressure that’s built up during the day.  This clears the slate so your evening can be happy.
  • Bring live or cut branches or flowers (never dried dead flowers) into your environment directly after one of the above actions to bring the positive energy with you into your space.
  • Do a sea-salt cleansing bath to reduce stress.

Things to be cautious about in 2012:

  • Avoid gatherings of large groups of people with destructive or negative energy because the energy can rub off on you.
  • Tune out from the news at night to clear and stabilize your energy for a good night’s sleep.

Bonus of Love to-do before February 4, 2012:

For an extra boost of positive energy, get an ideal companion who is always there for you emotionally.  Yes, before 2/4 2012, getting a dog during the Year of the Hare can bring you luck metaphysically since their correlation is beneficial according to the Chinese Zodiac system.

Veterinarian and bestselling author Dr. Allen M. Schoen, who pioneered the integration of holistic healing into animal health care and revolutionized the loving care of animals from humans validated this Chinese metaphysical suggestion.  His book Kindred Spirits encompassed findings about unconditional loving bound between humans and their pets that can increase the quality of life.  Dr. Schoen cautions though to make sure you have the right life style to have the right type of dog.  The wrong dog in a too hectic life could make life more stressful.

This is an unique piece of advice that merges ancient Chinese science of Feng Shui and Life Reading that has been followed for a couple of thousand years with a modern consciousness that relates with vibrational science humanity are more aware of now.

Adopting the right kind of dog before 2/4/12 could help boost happier energy for years to come and strongly recommended for people who live alone or have children who they can’t attend to enough.  This east meets west, old consciousness merges with new hopefully can bring more loving energy to the world in 2012 and beyond.

My Fox News interview: What is Feng Shui

I talk about the importance of a customized Feng Shui solution in my Fox News interview.

Your Feng Shui solution must be based on your 5-Elements profile – a solution from a book or magazine article might be theoretically positive, but could be downright harmful for you.  For instance, too much Water Element in one’s profile plus a water fountain placed at a meridian point intensifies the imbalance.  Problems of excess water: heightened emotions, self-indulgence and impracticality would become worse.  This is not a good outcome. When you look for a Feng Shui practitioner, whether or not they provide your Five Elements profile should be one of your deciding factors.

Royal Wedding: Kate Middleton Destiny Reading (Chinese Face Reading)

A harmonious or lasting marriage is ever harder to achieve as mankind become more and more self centered;  according to the Tin Sun Lineage, the grounding strength that holds a marriage together will be lacking if neither partner has the Five Elements completeness.  Fortunately Prince William has all 5 Elements.  But does Kate Middleton bring strong positive grounding to the relationship as well?

Through the many thousands of years old science of Chinese Destiny Reading, we see that she does.  Here are the major points to consider:

  1. Strong Yang Chi eyes – the expression as well as eye shape: commanding energy, eyes widely opened all the way.  Others with yang chi eyes are Tina Fey, Oprah Winfrey and Diane Sawyer.  The Yin Chi eyes have an opposite energy, heavy-lidded eyes that look sleepy or seductive.  Examples are Princess Diana, Elvis Presley and Marilyn Manroe (discussed in a previous blog post).
  2. Strong Yang Chi cheekbones  are high and wide, indicating the level of ambition, courage, power and strength to withstand life’s pressures.  Examples are Angelina Jolie, Helen Mirren and Anna Wintour.
  3. Cheekbones well balanced by a strong jaw that create a fairly square face shape together.  The strong jaw also represents that people take the words of this person seriously.  Examples, Steve Jobs, Angelina Jolie and Natalie Portman.
  4. Solid Yang Chi body posture.  Shoulders are squared, not slumping over, and stable even when moving about .  Examples are Michael Jordan, Natalie Portman and Heidi Klum
  5. Upward shape lips show optimism and sweetness – more comfort, less struggle.

This royal couple is more compatible with both partners each having significant elements that can enhance and solidify a successful marriage.  Prince William having all Five Elements while Kate Middleton having all the strong features in Face Reading  and other features in a Destiny Reading of the Tin Sun Lineage like strong Chi, Body Profile.  For perspective, Hillary Clinton has all the positive Destiny Reading features except the upturned lips.

In total, these characteristics indicate that Kate has the emotional strength and strong spirit to deal with the extreme pressure of marrying a prince that her beloved mother-in-law Princess Diana lacked.

Based on the theories listed above, Prince Charles and Princess Diana never had a fighting chance because neither had all Five Elements in their birth charts, while Princess Diana is weak in Destiny Reading items 1 through 4, above.  To make matters worse, Prince Charles has at least 50% of his Five Elements profile composed of Water Element that is more emotional and less steady.

Prince William can be accountable and loyal, upholding the duty he was born into and about to form with his new family.   The fact that this wedding is happening in the year of the Rabbit which is, for Prince William, born year of the Dog, a very auspicious year, is another harbinger of good things.  Good Karma that he found a woman special enough for him and good karma that they are giving us a breather to believe in sweetness of romance again.  Blessings on this royal couple!

We All Need Nature Locations to Purify and Recharge

As the holiday season is upon us and the New Year is fast approaching, more than ever people need to charge up to improve the status quo. It is important to be more conscious of where you can refresh your mind and energy. This means that no matter where you live, you must find a couple of locations that have nature where you can go daily in order to circulate the energy within you. There must be an outlet to release/output stress and tiredness while you could input the positive energy from nature.

Even in the midst of the city it's possible to find a little nature

These are locations that after a stressful day or week when reality overwhelms you, you go there to breathe, heal, think and charge up so that you can better handle what is ahead. Nature and solar energy, especially at dawn and pre-sunset period is how I charge up from my demanding role that has to guide and comfort everyone I have affinity with as the master. It isn’t bars and drinks that can heal, it is nature that has trees, grass, sunlight, water (ocean, river,…) that can refresh our own energy.

For years, I have been telling many of my clients and friends to stop thinking about the heavy issues at home, take them outside to nature and the formula could be figured out much more easily. Intense, heavy issues in our heads are not the energy we should be infusing into our home because it can sink our luck further.

For people who are relocating to a new city, one of the first projects should be finding the nature spots that feel right to one’s vibration. This is the foundation to good mental, emotional and physical health because we are the product to our own environment. Those who have their Five Elements figured out by knowing the information calculated by the birth year, month, date and time, their search could be more precise.

For example, people missing the Water Element should look for an environment that has water like ocean, river, water fountain or pool,… People missing the Wood Element should be looking for a location with trees, grass, flowers,… People missing the Fire Element should be like the people missing the Wood Element, be in the Wood environment and if can find vibrant color flowers like pink, red, orange or purple to look at would be even better. People missing the Earth Element should be somewhere that there are rocks, mountains, soil, stone trail,…. People missing the Metal Element should be finding a place that has exposure from the west direction with lawns and some earth element around.

Especially, people living in the urban environment with very limited time to spare still need to recharge for their own good. With demands of managing the family, one should consider it as not luxury, but, necessity to spare a few minutes in the end of the day to shift the mood to balance before the real interaction with your loved ones. Your feelings will always be felt by them. Being in the city, you might only have a few minutes to sit in the courtyard of your apartment complex or nearby apt. complex with a garden. Be flexible, creative and adaptable in finding where the recharging spots are – something is better than nothing. If you do it right, sitting there for a few minutes to calm your mind, breath and close your eyes to meditate or find your own soul again can be a powerful way to synchronize your energy so that you could have the proper mood to create quality time with your family.

Remember, if you don’t feel good, you are not going to be a good companion to any one. In the journey of life, everyone has his or her own issues, it is good karma to not load too much of your own problems to your loved ones if there is a way that you could solve it yourself. Nature provides you this strength and it is your job to tap into it. Enjoy!
